点评:We had a fantastic afternoon at Monk Park Farm - The Great Yorkshire Christmas 2025. 🎄🤶🏻🎅🏻
As we arrived at Monk Park Farm the entrance was clearly sign posted and easily visible to visitors. We drove into a huge car park with plenty of spaces available. Toilet facilities were clearly visible from the car park and were located at the entrance. We arrived 15 minutes before entry as advised, our visit was booked for 2pm.
The entrance was decorated lovely with festive lights and Christmas decorations, our boys were super excited to start their visit!
The entrance booth was decorated with Christmas decorations, lights and lots of festive cheer. The greeter at the booth was a lovely elf named Jess, who was friendly and very welcoming, she remained in her elf character while clearly explaining how to use our Santa passports, which every child receives on their visit. Each page in your passport tells you which activity stop you need to visit. Once your activities were completed an elf will give you a sticker to put inside your passport on the correct page. ✉️🎅🏻
Our first stop was Santas grotto which was full of elves and fun! Even the adults can enjoy how festive Santas grotto is! Once in the grotto we were greeted by more elves who took our passports and gave us our first stop sticker, once we got our passports back we were taken in to see Santa himself! Santa was very welcoming and full of joy, he knew all the Childrens names and asked them all what they would like for Christmas. He gave each child a gold coin which they could exchange in santas toy shop for a gift of their choice. And we got a family photo with Santa to keep forever!
We were directed to the toy shop by one of the elves, where there were walls of toys and teddies. There was something for everyone! We chose our toys, eventually 😅. We collected our photo with Santa, with the option of a photo bauble, photo booklet or snow flake picture frame. we chose the snow flake picture frame with our photo ⛄️ The elves we met were called Bauble, Ginger, Tinsel and Stripe. 🎁
The next stop was Mrs Clause Kitchen, where we baked cookies with Mrs Clause. Each child had their own station with a rolling pin and a cookie cutter. Mrs Clause was very cheerful and even sang us a song. Adults were also encouraged to take part. Once we helped Mrs Clause with her baking all children were given a baked cookie and icing to take home and decorate. We also got stickers in our passports for this activity 🍪
Our next stop was the elf workshop! Where all the children got to take part in making their own teddy, these were gingerbread men called Crumble. Each child could stuff their bear and insert a heart to full their new teddy with love. The two elves in the workshop put on a great show for the children, including songs and jokes to keep the children entertained - even with a technical glitch as one of the microphones stopped working, this didn’t phase them at all and they remained in character!
After we made our bears we went into the bears boutique and chose an outfit, outfits were £14 each but were so adorable! 🎄
We left the Elf work shop and visited Snowflake Square food court where there were food stalls including s’mores to toast by a fire pit and a hatch to buy hot food and drinks. Unfortunately the hot food hatch had stopped serving food an hour and a half before the farm closed - I would visit this part of the farm first if you have an afternoon booking as we missed out on a tasty hot snack. The gingerbread hot chocolate, can I just add, was absolutely delicious! 🤤 prices were quite generous too which is great for larger families with lots of mouths to feed 🙂. Allergy advice was also available throughout the park.
In the food court there is an indoor seating area with plenty of tables, seats and high chairs. Lots of room even on a busy day. It was much needed on our visit too as it rained none stop alllll day 😅 BUT this didn’t dampen our fun! And all characters were happy and joyful even in the cold rainy weather! ☔️
Our boys had a ride on the barrel ride too which they absolutely loved. Rain or not, they thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Seated barrels pulled along by an off road vehicle along a track. This was available to buy at the entrance point costing £3 per child. 🚜
We also visited the farm animals along the way to each activity station we saw chickens, ducks, wallabies, goats, cows, llamas, sheep, pigs, alpacas and rabbits! Animals galore!
On a sunny day there is also climbing frames and playgrounds in the centre of the farm with plenty of fun to keep excited children busy and able to let them blow off steam. 🛝
I’d just like to point out also that the grounds are kept immaculate and clean. Even the animals were kept clean and clearly well cared for. There were no signs of rubbish or mess anywhere on the grounds, toilets were kept clean and tidy in both parts of the park.
Overall we had the best time and I would highly recommend visiting Monk Park Farm
