点评:On dec 6th my wife an me tried to use the ferry from Picton to Wellington; it had been paid months before; we had been travelling around NZ, starting on the South Island; a few hours before we arrived Picton we received an email that the ferry will be late for at least 4 (four) hours; Interislander told us the reason had been weather conditions which I could not believe; on that day the weather had been fine and the day before the weather also was not too bad.
Hours later, our former official departure time was passed, we received the next information: delay by about 5 and a half hour.
Horror for us beause we hang around Picton, we will arrive Wellington after midnight, this will produce a lot of trouble.
Watching the ferry operation later in the afternoon one could see that Interislander had problems to bring cargo from or to the ship in an efficient way. Not enough people to operate track machines, probably not enough track machines(trucks).
Because of these circumstances which everyone could see (when you watch the ship for minutes and nothing moves in or out and the sky is blue the sun is shining then the reason for delay are not weather conditions).
This in mind and expecting that Interislander is aware about customer/passengers need i asked/requested for refunding.
No chance with that organisation: they greet you with kia ora but they treat you as....
In the meantime i told/wrote them that if someone in Snr mgt will share our view and will approve some refunding then they should spend it to people in NZ.
We are no longer interested in refunding money; we had a fantastice holiday with a lot of fantastc people in NZ but we will never book again Interislander.
To a 5 hours delay you will be informed about four hours before departure - that is really strange.
Happy to say: in four weeks we only had one bad experience - Great Job Interislander
