Our Experience Was Quite Good
Tribal Dance & Cultural Legends at Icy Strait Point的点评
点评：The Tribal Cultural Show at Icy Strait Point in Icy Strait Point/Hoonah has mixed reviews all over the map, so my expectations were low. Frankly, I was delightfully surprised by what we saw in June 2026.
The show featured a narrator and a cast made up mostly of young people. It gave a good explanation of the Tlingit people and their culture, then finished with a group dance involving eight performers and a photo opportunity with the cast. There was also an excellent Q&A session where a cast member answered questions from the audience.
This experience is often bundled by cruise lines with a Seafood Feast for around $150 USD (as of 2026). To the best of my knowledge, the show by itself is not offered as a separate cruise excursion—you can only get tickets by walking up to the theater at showtime and paying about $20 per person. After thoroughly investigating the bundle, we decided to see just the Tribal Show and skip the seafood plate and S'mores dessert.
Although we did not participate in the meal, I am including a couple of photos of the feast and the dining tent to help others decide. Be advised that the meal takes place right before the show, so you have limited time to eat.
In summary, what we saw was well worth the money. It was not a polished, slick production—no. But it felt real, with tribal members honoring their heritage in an authentic way.
