Not really welcoming
Holden Beach的点评
点评：It’s February, the weather was gloomy and we were out exploring new areas. We are not from the area and stumbled on Holden Beach.
It does not appear that they liked visitors, hard to find parking, public bathrooms or beach access. Everything was old and dirty, when we found parking I made the mistake of no reading the sign (other beach area don’t charge until March).
The beach was nothing special, not at all like described and the overall feeling was unwelcoming. Headed to the car to find a rude old guy putting a ticket on my car. $25 due that day, $50 if you paid the next day! More $$ if you waited longer.
The rude parking guy made a point to make us feel stupid for not reading the sign.
So my recommendation is save you $$, time and aggravation - they don’t want you visiting! They made us feel very unwelcome. The North Carolina coast has so many beautiful beaches, save your time and $$ for one worth visiting!
