A Perfect Day Out with Thomas at Bucks Railway Centre

点评：We enjoyed a wonderful family day out at Bucks Railway Centre for A Day Out with Thomas.
It was a very busy day at the centre due to the special event but parking was plentiful with event wardens guiding you in.
The Visitor Centre is a lovely bright and open space with lots to look at and do, perfect for a game of eye spy as the walls are covered with signs and artefacts.
The toilets are well maintained and the cafe offers a good selection of hot and cold options at not too extortionate prices.
We loved the fact that the vast majority of the staff were volunteers, it felt like the centre has a real community feel.
As it was the Day Out with Thomas event there were lots of extra activities for the kids inside the visitor centre including colouring and activity sheets and the wonderful Sir Topham Hat with his sidekicks Rusty and Dusty who were providing fabulous entertainment throughout the day. My children enjoyed the unlimited rides on Thomas and Percy and the Teacups. The miniature and model railway area was a highlight and the shaded picnic area was a welcome respite from the heat!
I didn't venture into the museum but my husband said it was well laid out with lots of interesting exhibits from the golden era of train travel.
