An Amazing Tasting Experience at Seven Stones
Seven Stones Winery的点评
点评：Although early in the season, the weather was very nice; sun in the sky, a warm gentle breeze.
Before even walking into the tasting room, we were greeted by Jacquie. We immediately felt welcomed by her demeanor and smile.
We were given the option to enjoy our tasting out on the patio, and this was an excellent choice.
There were three whites, and three reds to be enjoyed with his tasting.
Legend has it that there are seven large stones, not too far from here that have significant cultural importance to the indigenous population of this area. This winery celebrates, and helps keep alive the rich history of this area. We liked that.
Jacquie was fantastic in describing their wines, and giving the history of this winery, and its progression from humble beginnings, to the award-winning wines that they produce today.
The wines we enjoyed today were as follows:
Speaking Rock Chardonnay
Rain Stone
Pebble Beach Rosé
Speaking Rock 2017 Merlot
Boulder (Cab Sav dominant blend)
Erratic (Merlot dominant blend)
Overall, this winery may be a little out-of-the-way, or off the beaten track, but it is worth the trip. A hidden gem. There’s more to enjoy to this place that we didn’t get to, like visiting the cave underneath the tasting room where the wine matures. We will be back. Friendly staff, great tasting wine, what more could one ask for?
