Lovely, walkable, relaxing day out.
Port Sunlight Museum的点评
点评：What a lovely day we had at Port Sunlight. We bought tickets online for £7 each for access to the museum and the workers cottage and these last for the year so extremely good value for money.
We travelled by train and the stations, Bebington or Port Sunlight, were both accessible by ramp
We spent a good 6 hours there including having lunch at the Bridge Inn pub, again, very reasonable prices.
We visited a smaller art exhibition at Bridge Cottage, then the museum and workers cottage. We also wandered around the gardens, the dell and the bridge before heading back to the Lady Leverhulme Art Gallery and Museum, which is huge and stunning.
It was a very relaxing day with wide open spaces and, also, a tribute to the Hillsborough disaster.
The only, very slight, disappointment was that the boating lake is under renovation and the fountain has gone away for restoration but, as the tickets last for a year, I'm sure we will go back and be able to see them in their restored glory.
Such a lovely day, all the people we met at each place were friendly, chatty and happy to help.
We will definitely be visiting again.
