点评:I am not sure what “Cefalu coast” is supposed be refer to, but my review specifically pertains to the beach at Cefalu . We spent 9 days in Cefalu at the end of May, which is early in the season. Our hotel was a 14-minute uphill walk from the beach, and we walked to and from the beach almost every day. Unlike most beach towns, there are practically no big hotels or resorts directly on the beach. There are several “lidos” or beach clubs , which are jam-packed with beach chairs and umbrellas, separated by free public areas with limited or no facilities. There were very few people paying to sit in the lidos. We bought a cheap 15 euro beach umbrella and a couple of towels from one of the many vendors, and we always had plenty of space to ourselves in the public areas. The eastern end of the beach, near the old city, is much more crowded, so we stayed on the other end near the modern town. You still have a beautiful view of the old city and the rock of Cefalu. The beach becomes more crowded and a lot hotter in the afternoon, so we retreated to our hotel or visited the old city. In late May, the water was clear and refreshing to swim in. In addition to the main sandy beach, there are a couple of small rocky beaches— “callettes” or coves —on the opposite end of Cefalu, including Kalura beach, which I reviewed separately. (In Trip Advisor, this is incorrectly spelled as “Caldura” beach.)
