点评：Site size: Large spacious sites with covered pavilions with picnic tables, charcoal grill and fire ring. Concrete ( paved) sites are mostly even but some have a slight grade- we have a 44ft long fifth wheel and these sights easily accommodate us. Not all sites have sewer but all sites have water and electric.
Views: we stay lakeside but have also stayed in the other loops (A) in the woods. The lake side stays busy. The sites in the woods have closer access to the walking and bike trails.
Noise - this park is located on the outskirts of the cities of Grand Prairie, Arlington and Mansfield. By the lake you will hear boats and you will hear road noise and overhead planes, etc on most of the other loops. Don't expect complete quiet while you are here!
Atmosphere: slow during the week but the weekends fill up with local community and families. Considered a "party" place on the weekends by adults and you will find large crowds holding birthday parties on the rentable cabin sites. The local community take pride in access to the park and many are very friendly and welcoming. There is a boat launch on site. Lots of birds visit. There is a beach and pavilion in the center of the park along with overflow parking. Beware of ant piles throughout the park sites!
Convenience: Very short drive to everything you need - groceries, gas stations, services, department stores. there is a small camp store on site - you can get firewood and other odds and ends and they have kayak rentals.
Safety: I believe there is a 24 hr patrol by the park rangers. I have seen them driving around all hours of the day and night. We feel safe. The park staff are very pleasant.
Price - lake view and lake side sites are more expensive. daily rates are reasonable- they also have cabins available for rent. Sites with sewer are more expensive. There is a fee per car for day passes or you can buy a yearly pass from the city that saves you a bit of money if you are staying over 14 days. There is a 2 week stay limit but they waived it this year during the off season (Nov -March).
