Poor animal welfare!
翰林公园的点评
点评：We visited on a Tuesday at the end of September, arriving at the park at about 3pm.
There are three main reasons why I have given the park a terrible rating:
1. The bird and reptile enclosures are simply cruel and not adequate for them (see pictures to decide for yourself). The birds are housed in small metal cages with a single piece of wood in them. The snake and turtles are just on a concrete floor. The management seriously need to review the conditions because in 2026 they should have a better understanding of animal welfare. This ruined our visit and I found it quite upsetting. I notice other contributors made similar comments back in 2019 - nothing appears to have changed in seven years. Simply, the conditions are cruel and I expect better.
2. Throughout the park there are speakers (see picture of one in front of the waterfall) that play a welcome message loudly in many different languages (message plays every five minutes) followed by tacky loud music. There is no where in the park you can go (except the cave) to avoid this loud awful noise. In the water garden you can’t hear the water for the noise. In the bonsai garden you have pop music from the cafe competing with the parks loud speakers. Nothing relaxing about these gardens.
3. For a country that seems to have more speed cameras than residents, the staff of this park would do well to drive their maintenance vehicle (not the tour vehicle) a little slowly Lee about the park. He was driving far too fast for a park and their will be an accident if they don’t drive slower.
Overall, this park is stuck in the 1990s. Despite its wonderful gardens the animal welfare, unnecessary noise and driving standards detract from its beauty. A real shame. I would definitely not recommend visiting.

总体而言，这座公园仍停留在20世纪90年代的水平。虽然花园很漂亮，但动物福利问题、不必要的噪音以及糟糕的驾驶规范都破坏了它的美感。实在可惜。我绝对不推荐去那里游览。
