Ayasofya土耳其浴水疗中心的点评
点评：I was really looking forward to this unique Turkish spa experience and opted for the premier level. Semra was my therapist and was amazing.
English is limited and I don’t speak Turkish, but it was fine. I did use the salt scrub when I was not supposed to, so when they tell you to bathe yourself, they mean you should only clean your body with water and the bowl they provide. The salt scrub was meant for my hands, so because I misunderstood, I did not have that experience (i.e., salt hand scrub).
I typically have a hard time relaxing though I often get massages and usually 90 min to 2 hours, which forces me to relax. Coming here I immediately felt relaxed and calm and thought the entire experience was longer than it was, so I feel that I definitely got my money’s worth. Also I was presented with fresh coffee and a tray of fresh fruits and a small bowl of premium dried fruits and nuts. It was actually too much food for me, so I nibbled.
I enjoyed the whole experience solo and would definitely do it again.
When I spoke to my work colleagues about theirs (they went to another highly rated hammam), they said they only did the 60 min treatment and they felt rushed and that it was less than 60 min. As I said above, mine felt much longer. If you try hammam, I highly recommend Hurrem and splurge on yourself with the most expensive service they offer. I thought it was great value and completely worth it.
ALSO - make sure you bring enough CASH in Turkish Liras for the well-deserved tips! 10-20% is customary.
