Loved Loggerhead Beach!
深湾州立公园&海滩的点评
点评：What wonderful beaches! We liked Bahia Honda so much that we returned the next day. We were staying in a condo in Marathon, so it was a short drive.
I highly recommend Loggerhead Beach. It has nice sand, quite white. It is shallow, and we enjoyed very calm waves. You can walk to even more shallow areas. Where the water looks dark, it is usually sea grass. You can avoid rocky areas and find your way to the sandy parts. On the beach itself there are very few shady areas. If you want shade, it is best to bring your own set-up.
People were very laid back and nice. There are bathrooms and outdoor showers relatively close to the Loggerhead Beach parking. You can pick up a bucket and grabber if you want to help clean the beach. We saw very little trash. Still, you always find something and can help get it to a trashcan.
It’s a good idea to bring a picnic lunch and drinks. If you don’t have time, they do have a snack bar with some sandwiches, popsicles, ice cream, drinks, and water. They have a gift shop too. They may rent beach umbrellas and chairs, but I am not sure.
We also enjoyed taking photos of the old railroad tracks.
