点评:This is a review for the stables coffee shop not the priory per se.
I've never been in such a disorganised place. First off, we were told by the waitress that there was no food as they had no electricity - only coffee and scones. I wondered how they were making coffee with no electricity.....Anyway, we were a group of 8, most of whom had travelled a distance (Newry, Kilkeel, Warrenpoint). We ordered coffees and scones. One hour later, two coffees arrived; after a long delay, two more....and so it went on. The scones were delivered sporadically as well. No butter with the scones - just jam and cream. One of the group went inside to ask for butter but was told by the "manager" (I use the term advisedly) that she would bring it out to us, even though he could see it sitting on the counter. It never arrived. My cappucino eventually arrived when all the others had finished eating and drinking - I declined at that point. I felt sorry for the waitresses who were lovely and very apologetic. We moved inside from the courtyard when the rain started and then the extent - and reason - for the chaos became apparent. The "manager" was running around like a headless chicken, confused, rudderless and clearly out of her depth. The place has such potential - but only under new management.
