点评：A short ways south of Mae Hong Son you can find the Huay Pu Keng Karenni Village. My husband and I went in the middle of April at the tail end of the smoky season. We were in the middle of a three day driving trip from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, counterclockwise. We spent the night at the Fern Resort, which was quite nearby. The villagers used to take you across the river on little boats, but recently they finished constructing a bamboo bridge, which was reasonably sturdy. We paid a small price in cash to cross the bridge into town. We had some nice chats with the locals, and enjoyed watching the kids play in the river. The kids were enjoying just the simple pleasure of playing in the water. We bought a few items too, and walked the street. We didn't stay too long, as we only managed to arrive around 4:00 pm. There were very few other visitors at the same time, mostly just us.
