Beautiful venue for Mozart, but plan ahead for better seats

点评：I attended La Flûte Enchantée by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, and overall it was a great experience.
The opera house itself is stunning — the architecture and ceiling paintings are absolutely beautiful and worth seeing on their own. It’s a smaller, more intimate venue, which adds charm, but also makes seating more important.
I was seated on the third level, and the acoustics weren’t the best from there. Visibility was also limited — if you’re not in the first couple of rows in your section, it can be difficult to see the stage clearly.
If you don’t purchase tickets in advance, it is still possible to get seats the day of the performance. I recommend arriving about 1 hour and 15 minutes before showtime. Be prepared, though — the lines for last-minute tickets can be long, and the available seats may not offer the best views.
Overall, it was a memorable experience in a beautiful historic setting, but I would strongly recommend booking early or choosing seats carefully to fully enjoy the performance.
