点评:It has been a dream of mine to visit the Bronte Parsonage and the Yorkshire moors since I first discovered the Bronte sisters' novels more than 30 years ago. I arrived believing the Bronte story was one of literacy brilliance overshadowed by personal sadness. But Johnnie taught me that the story of the Bronte family is one of love. Starting with the love story of their parents Patrick and Maria.
When searching the internet for a tour of Haworth and the Parsonage, I came across Bronte Walks. The Bronte Walks tour offered everything I was looking for. A day long tour with people knowledgeable about the area, its history and the Bronte family. I didn't want to wander aimlessly but be guided through the town, the parsonage and the surrounding moors. All while discussing the Bronte sisters and their writing. A highlight of the day was Tamara who led my husband and I across the moors on a three hour hike . And, while we walked the same trails the sisters travelled and that Catherine and Heathcliff haunted, Tamara recited Bronte poetry. It was cold, windy and the rain was fierce. To me it was the perfect weather for a Bronte Walk.
