点评:At £9.50 each (2 of us) I expected to learn some of the history. Unfortunately most of the information boards are in poor condition, weather swept. This resulted in a lot of areas you could not read about what part of the fort it was, who could use it etc.
You can see into the fort without paying but doing that you would miss the information boards you can't read any in most cases.
I think there is a tour with a curator of sorts but being autistic I don't feel comfortable in groups of unfamiliar people. I much prefer to read and wander at my own pace.
I actually learnt more about Homesteads free watching a Youtube vlog.
You can from the fort you can go for a hike to Sycamore gap which from memory is around a 4 mile round trip.
Whilst I'm all for supporting our heritage I would have expected at least the signs be readable.
If all the signs were readable I would say around £5 would be a fair price as you also have to pay to park and that is a rip off.
Would I visit again : Definitely not. Also very annoying the pressure they apply trying to get you commit to a full membership.
