点评：We visited Hereford on a Monday, not realising how quiet Mondays are and therefore not many places open. So glad we went to the cathedral where we were lucky to join a tour by the expert guide Raymond who brought to life the beautiful and interesting cathedral and its history, simply the best cathedral tour I’ve ever done. Thank you so much Raymond, the long history of the cathedral was fascinating and it’s wonderful to see how well the more modern elements complement Hereford cathedral and how forward thinking the custodians are. I loved the intricate details you showed us in the modern stained glass windows by Dewey and the also the stunning (predominantly blue) new SAS window. We then went on to see the Mappa Munda, which unbeknownst to me is located with the Chained Library, how fascinating the library is, such a gem of history of something I had never heard of before, described so well by the lovely David. The cathedral is blessed to have amongst its volunteers such amazing people. You really made our day memorable. What a special place Hereford Cathedral is, thank you to all who look after it so well.
