Well worth a visit.
Belvoir Castle的点评
点评：Enjoyed my visit to Belvoir Castle last Wednesday. Large car park by the Welcome Hub - £4.00 for the day and very friendly, helpful staff in the ticket/café shop. Toilets just outside there are very stylish.
The walk up the hill to the castle is fairly steep, with a more accessible route part way up. The shields along the path give interesting background information to the castle’s history.
I had a guided tour at 11.00am with Gill. She was excellent, very knowledgeable and able to allow us private access to areas not available to a general person. The tour lasted about 2 hours. Well worth the £5.00.
After that, I took the £7.00, 1.30pm electric bus ride around the castle’s grounds and parkland. Again, a very pleasant and knowledgeable driver ( sorry, forgotten his name). This lasted an hour. I’d recommend this trip just to have the stunning view of the castle part way round.
Children sounded like they were having fun in the adventure area and the gardens were a big attraction for others.
