Belvoir Castle的点评
点评：My wife and I had been gifted a Virgin Experience day voucher for the castle and gardens with cream tea.
We've been to many National Trust properties before, and many other castles, but I must say this one blows them all out of the water. The castle itself is incredible, and is very homely and very much lived in my the Duke and Duchess. We took a guided tour by the wonderful Cheryll, a full 2 hours for just £5 each, an absolute bargain - it really brought the place to life - very engaging and enjoyable. As we were a bit early for the tour we enjoyed a lovely freshly made breakfast in the Aviary cafe, and our cream tea after the tour had scones fresh from the oven, absolutely delicious and in lovely surroundings. The grounds are steep but the gardens are incredibly beautiful, immaculately maintained. Overall a definite 5 out of 5, much better than even Chatsworth, as here it is much more personable, characterful and lovely friendly service from all staff that we encountered.
Ignore any bad reviews as they all seem to be relating to either a bonfire or from people who can't key their registration number into the parking machine correctly!
We would definitely return here at some point in the future.
