Disappointing visit
Acorn Bank的点评
点评：We had a free National Trust pass so decided to visit Acorn Bank after having such wonderful visits to Sizergh Castle & Wallington.
Acorn Bank was such a disappointment and I'm glad we had our free pass as I wouldn't have wanted to pay £11 each. The house is beautiful on the outside but you only get to see 3-5 rooms which are very badly presented. 2 of them were full of books & stuff and excess cafe stock. The main stairs were dirty and again stuff stored underneath. I was quite shocked!
The gardens however were lovely. Several orchards and multiple flower beds. But we were able to walk round the whole lot in under an hour. A pleasant walk by the river but nothing outstanding. The best bit was sitting on a bench over looking the lawns and seeing the magnificent view of the Lakeland hills to the west.
I think the National Trust could do a lot better with the house to make a visit more memorable and value for money.

我觉得国家信托基金会在修缮这座宅邸方面还能做得更好，这样游客的参观体验会更难忘，也更符合其价值。
