Worth visiting but check which exhibitions are on before going
Whitworth Art Gallery的点评
点评：We visited the Whitworth Art Gallery to see the Hokusai / Japanese Art exhibition held recently.
The gallery itself is not air conditioned, so visiting on a really hot day was challenging (thankfully there were some whacking great big fans around, and we brought water to drink while walking around).
The Hokusai exhibition was great, with awesome works of art like The Great Wave on show (it's a lot smaller than you'd think!)
There were other seasonal exhibitions there too, including some awesome Korean fabric art. Definitely a good reason to go and check out the Whitworth website before you drop in.
Outside the gallery there's an awesome and very well tended garden to walk around in or have a spot of lunch in. The gallery's cafe was busy, busy, busy and seems to have a really complicated ordering system that is very offputting so it's worth skipping as there are better places to eat nearby.
Staff were awesome, friendly and really helpful. The giftshop was well worth a visit, filled with lots of unique gift ideas and of course plenty of amazing art to take home and hang on your wall.
