点评:Ok, the bad bit first - dogs are welcome at the museum on a leash. My dog was on a leash the whole time but managed to whip her tail against an electric fence surrounding the ploughed field. Her tail was quite badly scorched and burned. Vet said the fur may not grow back. The Environmental officer from Chichester Council will visit the museum to ascertain the safety of the electric fences. Personally I don't believe any electric fences belong in open air museums.
The good bit - this museum is like a time warp. It's amazing to walk amongst houses completely as they would be in their historical context. You will often be in one of the houses and have it all to yourself if it's a quiet day. I like looking at the thatched roofing from the inside of a Tudor house. The museum has lots of land for children to play in and lots of activities which will interest them. Hands-on exhibits will keep them interested. Museum parking is great and the cafe is brilliant. They gave me a discount because it was my birthday!
