点评:Looking for somewhere to visit on our way back to the midlands following a stay in The Cotswolds, Birdland ticked a lot of our boxes. Parking at first was a little tricky as the car park nearest to the attraction was full, however there was another much bigger car park only a few minutes around the corner and only £6 for the whole day which seemed reasonable considering what a tourist attraction Bourton-on-the-water is.
The entry price was £15 a person, which I believe is reasonable considering the variety of birds and costs to ensure they are well looked after. It took us around 2 hours to walk the entire site and take everything in but could easily fill longer with the child's play area, zip line and if you were having a picnic or visiting the cafe for good- as we did not do any of these 2 hours was ample for us.
What I particularly liked about Birdland is how local nature became entwined with the the animals kept there- the natural river running through the centre home to many a native duck and seagull as well as the lesser spotted heron popping by for a visit. It really does have a beautiful atmosphere about the place which only serves to enhance the range of birds and creatures in residence there.
