点评:The ski area is like you would find in Europe i.e. there is no real designated ski center. Instead, you park your car (or walk from your nearby chalet), change into your gear, walk to a small booth and purchase a lift ticket and go ski. There are a number of carparks dotted in the area and we just drove around looking for what looked like a decent place to base ourselves. We ended up at Sugadaira Kogen Hare Ski Resort. The resort had a canteen where we could just dump all our bags at an empty table and eat lunch. The resort was super relaxed that we were not guests and just let us use their canteen for our personal gear. It was the 3rd week of Dec 2025 during the weekday and there was no consistent snowfall in the area. Snow machines were on full. Only some of the pistes were open. Not crowded at all. The rental equipment at the resort was not new but also was not expensive. Lift ticket prices were also reasonable. Mostly Japanese skiers during this time. The fact the resort let us use their canteen for our own personal space meant that skiiing here for us was super cool and relaxed and we enjoyed ourselves despite the poor snow conditions.
