点评:I would rate this as one of the best railway journeys in the UK. We visited on a fairly wet September day but the rain helped make the trip quite atmospheric. For an extra £20 or so (can't remember exactly how much), we travelled in the First Class coach and boy it is worth it! It's the last carriage on the train with windows to the rear so we had a full panoramic view of the countryside. It's also the most comfortable and warmest carriage on the train. The journey is amazing as the train twists and turns while climbing along the side of the valley. The stop at Devil's Bridge was amazing too. There is a 10 minute walk down to Devils Bridge where you can simply view the waterfalls from top of bridge or you can pay to walk down to one of a few view points. The cost for this was about £2, through a turnstile gate, not much really but well worth it. We then had a coffee and cake at the Woodlands Kiosk before heading back to the train. Altogether a lovely day out!
