A great break from safari days – stunning scenery and viewpoints

点评：We visited the Panorama Route as a break from safari days in Kruger, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
The scenery is completely different from the bush—lush, green and dramatic—with a variety of viewpoints, waterfalls and natural landmarks along the way. Highlights included Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and several panoramic viewpoints.
It does make for a fairly full day with quite a bit of driving, so it’s worth planning ahead and deciding which stops matter most to you. Some of the popular viewpoints can also be busy, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience.
What we really appreciated was the contrast it provides to safari days. It’s a more relaxed, scenic experience and a great way to see another side of the region.
We’d highly recommend including it in a Kruger itinerary if you have the time.
