FlySpain and the whole team are honestly one of the most reliable, fairest, professional and safest paragliding companies you could wish for.
From airport pickup at the start to drop-off at the end, they cater for all your needs and genuinely go above and beyond. The whole team is professional, safety-conscious and gives clear guidance and encouragement to help you achieve your goals.
They get you to the right hill at the right time to maximise your time in the air. But once you’re airborne, the support doesn’t stop. They continue to guide you, build your confidence and help you become a better pilot.
I am disabled and unable to walk unaided, and my story is below. After my spinal cord injury, I honestly never thought I’d fly again. FlySpain gave me the support, patience and guidance I needed to achieve my dream of getting back into the air.
Not only did I manage to fly again, I actually exceeded my own expectations — and a huge part of that was down to the team believing in me and making it possible.
The accommodation is fantastic too. It’s a lovely townhouse with all the comforts and facilities you’d have at home, including washing and cooking facilities, multiple bathrooms, plenty of space to relax and a beautiful private pool to cool down in after a great day on the hill.
Our XC group had a real mix of experience and abilities — from experienced pilots to me, flying with a disability, and even an 89-year-old pilot who I’m now proud to call a friend! Everyone mixed brilliantly, and I learnt so much from the whole group.
In the evenings we’d head into Algodonales, which is within walking distance, for some fantastic food and drinks at unbelievably reasonable prices. The town is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
One of the things that really stood out to me was how quickly everyone gels, regardless of age, experience or background. I would genuinely feel completely comfortable travelling to FlySpain on my own.
For me personally, FlySpain didn’t just provide a paragliding holiday.
They helped me get something back that I thought I’d lost forever.
