点评:What a disappointing experience at the Guess Who concert at Pine Knob.
The rain delayed the show by about an hour, even though there wasn't any lightning. The decision to cancel the opening act reflected poor leadership. Whatever happened to concerts being "rain or shine"? If that's no longer the case, then what exactly are people paying premium prices for pavilion seats?
Once they finally let everyone into Pine Knob, we were held on the concourse for another 30 minutes with absolutely no announcements or communication about what was going on. Then, after we were finally allowed to take our seats, we waited another half hour before The Guess Who took the stage. A little communication would have gone a long way.
Getting into Pine Knob was a complete cluster. The entry lines were chaotic, and security was a total mess. There didn't seem to be any organization or leadership, which only added to everyone's frustration.
To add insult to injury, I later found out Pine Knob was selling $20 pavilion seat upgrades to lawn ticket holders. Meanwhile, many of us paid full price for pavilion seats—many of us are even season ticket holders—only to have our experience diminished by poor planning, unnecessary delays, and the loss of the opening act.
I understand that weather can affect events, but this wasn't just about the weather. It was about poor leadership, poor communication, poor crowd management, and poor decision-making. Fans who invested in premium tickets deserved a much better experience than what Pine Knob delivered.
