点评：I thought about visiting Columbus for years, and finally visited as part of a solo trip to Indianapolis, from which it's about an hour drive. I booked two tours offered by the visitors center, one that provides an overview of everything that's there, and a second tour of the Miller House and Gardens. Both guides were seasoned, sophisticated educators with great depth of knowledge of architecture in general; the morning tour in particular was like being on a field trip with my favorite teacher ever. Columbus is fascinating as a community that has supported modern architecture since the early 1940s and anyone who's made the pilgrimage to Palm Springs Modernism Week, for example, owes themselves the opportunity to experience this different perspective on what that kind of commitment can look like.
