黑池动物园的点评
点评：We visited on Monday of the October half term break and as it turned out so did everyone else.
Took almost half an hour to just get into the zoo. Whilst the family were queuing I was able to visit guest services and arrange the wheelchair hire. This was a quick, seamless experience with very friendly, helpful staff.
The wheelchairs did not have brakes on the handles. This wasn't a problem except for visiting the elephant house. Access is via a lengthy sloped section of path and on the way back down we required a person on each handle to control the descent.
Also some of the terrain can be a bit uneven so just be aware when navigating.
The exhibits were excellent and most contained both indoor and outdoor viewing options so the animals could not escape out gaze.
Only one main food court but had loads of indoor and outdoor seating. There were several dining options here including a Subway.
There is also a train that does laps of the zoo which we didn't try as it was very busy.
A full day is recommended for a visit and is definitely one of the best I've visited.
