Disappointing experience
CHANT - Crucian Heritage and Nature Tourism的点评
点评：Our group signed up for the Hamilton Walking Tour, but the title was misleading. The majority of the tour focused on the island’s history of slavery under Danish rule, with only about 20 minutes dedicated to Alexander Hamilton in a 2.5-hour experience. Our students were disappointed, as they had been eager to learn more about Hamilton’s life and influence.
Additionally, the guide began by stating that discussing politics or religion was inappropriate, yet she did not maintain a neutral stance. She openly disagreed with the National Park Service’s historical interpretations and seemed judgmental about who she perceived us to be.
The tour itself involved little walking, primarily consisting of extended stops at the Customs House and the fort (which does offer beautiful views). Given our experience, we will be choosing a different tour for our next visit.
