A Royal Experience at Windsor Castle – Our Favorite Castle Tour!

点评：My wife and I had the most incredible time visiting Windsor Castle, and it easily became our favorite castle tour. As history lovers, we were fascinated by the deep heritage of the property, but what made it even more special was knowing that it’s still a living royal residence. It’s one thing to visit a historic site, but another to walk through rooms that are still in use by King Charles III and the royal family today.
Getting there from London was effortless—a quick and scenic train ride followed by a short stroll through the charming town of Windsor made for a smooth and enjoyable journey. The moment we stepped inside the castle grounds, we were completely immersed in its grandeur.
From the State Apartments filled with priceless artwork and ornate decor to the magnificent St. George’s Chapel, where Queen Elizabeth II and other monarchs are laid to rest, every part of the tour was breathtaking. I was so locked into the beauty of the experience and absorbed by the incredible history that, for once, I forgot to take many photos—a rare thing for me as a photographer! But that’s how powerful Windsor Castle is—it demands to be experienced in the moment.
This was by far the most enriching and memorable castle tour we’ve ever taken. If you’re visiting London, we highly recommend making the trip to Windsor. It’s the perfect blend of historical significance and modern-day royal life, and it’s surprisingly easy to get to. Whether you love history, architecture, or simply want to experience the grandeur of a working royal palace, Windsor Castle is a must-visit!
