Rubbish. An unmitigated rip-off.

点评：We were holidaying in the area and decided to visit. It looked good from a distance but...First annoyance was having to pay £4 to park as we are not English Heritage members. The entrance fee was excessive - £12-£13 each, so nearly £30 in total for the visit. We were not advised to look around the museum first, which would have been a good idea as there is zero information at the castle itself. We were told the roundhouse was shut as there was no guide and the caves fenced off...sounded great. After climbing the hill and passing the unimpressive curtain wall, we arrived at one of the most disappointing and unimpressive small remains of a castle ever seen. There was VERY little to see and no information boards or signs whatsoever or any guide at the top. Admittedly the 360 degree views are very impressive, but nothing else is. We didn't bother going to the closed roundhouse. Back at the ticket office after enquiring about the lack of signage we were advised that they are not allowed to put signs in the ground as it would damage the 'archaeology'. The museum and displays are actually pretty good, but it would have been helpful to have seen those first.
For what there is to see, the car parking and entrance fee are an unmitigated rip-off. There are many hilltop castles you can visit that are WAY more intact with lots of information and are FREE, such as Montgomery and Dolforwyn to name but two. Really wish we hadn't bothered going and saved £30.

就可看的东西而言，停车费和门票简直是敲诈。有很多山顶城堡保存得更完好，信息丰富，而且免费参观，比如蒙哥马利城堡和多尔福温城堡等等。真后悔来了，省了30英镑。
