点评:Honestly ... we got instagram influenced ... and for the first time I'm not ashamed to admit it. A few months ago my boyfriend sent me a video of a rock sea arch (not Durdle Door) with what looked like a castle through it. Where is this? Kent? Right lets book a mini break purely to go see it.
So July, a random Monday pre school holidays, brolly in hand and raincoats on we made our way onto the beach. Admiring the castle like hotel perched on the cliff top.
The journey to the arch was somewhat a challenge, given the almost knee deep seaweed at points. But this was navigated with hilarity and sense of achievement for not getting stuck, losing a boot, or falling from any slippy rocks.
Had the place to ourselves, marvelled at the natural engineering at work plus the sun came out and lit the tunnel beautifully. It felt like such a special place and I can't really explain why I loved it so much.
We carried on through the arch to Botany Bay before taking the road route back to the carpark. We'd had to extend our parking session because what we thought was going to be 2 hours max turned into a much longer visit.
