点评：What a fab experience. We are a family of 6 (4 teenagers) we are all animal lovers but the older teens are “kinda over zoos now mum” well Wild Florida proved them wrong. The Airboat tour was a great way to kick off the day. Captain Alex was great and we were lucky enough to see a mum Alligator and about 15 of her babies just hanging out around their nest. We saw turtles too and plenty of beautiful birds. The boat is loud and fast and brilliant because it has minimum impact on the wildlife but engaged the teens and they loved the up close nature of viewing the local wildlife. We were then planning on heading off back up to Orlando for an afternoon in the theme parks but were all soooo glad we didn’t rush off but went for a wander round the conservation park. What a great set up; this isn’t a zoo and isn’t all shiny and zoo like it’s rough and ready but with the animals at the heart of what the team are doing. Pete and his team were exceptional. The talks and engagement program was excellent. Informative, not too long but so interesting and you can see the affection the whole team has for the animals. Take your bug spray you are out in the Everglades but the lovely A/C’d gift shop has drinks and snacks to keep your own beasties and I know there’s a cafe on site too but we didn’t use it this time. We’ve done a week touring Florida, Miami the Keys and are now on our second week up in the theme parks but as our holiday ends all of us have said the Gators and Wild Florida was a holiday highlight!
