Cape Clear Island - Cape Clear Ferries的点评
点评：We had a fantastic trip out on the Cape Clear Ferry to the island, where we spent a lovely couple of hours exploring the island and meeting the Clear goats (great ice cream). There’s a cafe/ village store at the harbour where you can sit with a soup or a coffee whilst you wait for the Cape Clear Fastnet ferry to come and pick you up.
This second part of the trip was superb. The crew on board could not have been more helpful and considerate.
We were lucky with a very calm sea and just after leaving Cape Clear the boat was surrounded by a large pod of common dolphins. The skipper took his time and let them approach. Just when it couldn’t get any better a minke whale turned up for the party.
Onward to the Fastnet lighthouse, where a pre-recorded commentary is played as the boat goes round the island clockwise then anti clockwise giving everyone a good view.
We were back in port in Baltimore at 4.30pm.
