What a majestic and impressive building (Pity nearly all was closed)

点评：We booked up a visit here at 12 on Thursday 26 February. My wife and I have been here before on two occasions and have seen all the floors upper & lower plus Swift Cottage. However on this occasion we took family/friends with us who had never been before and what we found was that only the ground floor of Osborne House was open for viewing. All the upper floors are closed as was Swift Cottage but you still have to pay the same admission charge which is totally wrong. I appreciate this is an English Heritage owned building but come on when you charge the same price when most of the place is closed off to viewing its really not acceptable.
I will say that what our family/friends saw was exceptional and they loved it but they felt cheated that all other areas were not viewable to the public at this time. We still took them to Swift Cottage but again all the items within have been removed due to a leaking roof which is needing repair. Access to the place was closed until Spring anyway but the walk around the gardens and beach area were interesting.
To summarise I would NOT visit Osborne House in the Winter months!!!!!!! and if you can wait, go in the Spring/Summer, when all should be open and you will see it all in its full glory at the same price. For interest prices being charged:- Adult £22:70. Child £14:50. Senior/Student £20:40. There are different offers available for Families with Children etc and under 5 years go in FREE.
