Quito, Mashpi Lodge & Guayquil, it could not have been better

点评：From start to finish, Carolina Escobar from Metropolitan Touring was a joy to work with. Super professional, fast, responsive and friendly, it only added to the pleasure of planning a wonderful trip, having someone in your corner that is proud to represent her country in such a knowledgeable, enthousiastic and pro-active way. Everywhere we went and all the questions that we could think of, had already been dealt with and the answers were waiting for us. So so nice!
First stop, the Casa Gangotena Hotel in Quito. Wonderfully located and with excellent amenities. Great restaurant too, and Carolina booked us inclusive of dinner. The tasting menu during our second and last stay, was superb! Felt safe walking around during the day and the historic centre is beautiful and full of life and character.
Next stop was Mashpi Lodge and it was incredible! Pure, untouched and gorgeous nature and wildlife, combined with a luxury lodge providing all the modern amenities and comfort of today's society in the heart of the cloud forest ... activities, information, science and superfriendly and knowledgeable staff. Magical! A trip that I will never forget.
Last stop was in Guayaquil ... we stayed at the Hotel Del Parque, another highly recommendable hotel in a good location. Guayaquil is not necessarily the safest city in general but, the area of Samborondon was beautiful and very nice to explore on foot. No issues with safety whatsoever. The hotel was very comfortable, had all the bells and whistles and we would definitely stay there again. The restaurant Casa Julian was also hightly recommendable!
All in all only good and wonderful things. If you are looking to book anything in Ecuador, get in touch with Metropolitan Touring / Carolina Escobar. You will not regret it!

最后一站是瓜亚基尔……我们入住的是德尔帕克酒店 (Hotel Del Parque)，这家酒店位置优越，强烈推荐。瓜亚基尔总体来说并非最安全的城市，但桑博隆东 (Samborondon) 地区风景优美，非常适合步行游览。我们完全没有遇到任何安全问题。酒店非常舒适，设施齐全，我们下次肯定还会选择入住。卡萨朱利安餐厅 (Casa Julian) 也非常值得推荐！
