点评：We contacted the museum with a family-history research enquiry about my grandfather’s wartime service and have been incredibly impressed by the help we received.
The researcher who assisted us has been extraordinarily helpful, knowledgeable and generous with his time. He has not only uncovered information that we would never have found ourselves, but has provided insight and context that have helped us understand what that information actually means. His willingness to answer questions and explore different avenues has made the whole experience particularly rewarding.
What has really stood out is his obvious passion for the history of the Rifle Regiments and his commitment to keeping their legacy alive. For our family, his research has brought to life a part of my grandfather’s story that we knew very little about, including material that none of us had ever seen before.
We are enormously grateful for the care and enthusiasm with which our enquiry has been handled. An outstanding research service and a wonderful example of how preserving military history can make it so personal for future generations.
