点评：Visiting HMS Alliance was a memorable and eye-opening experience. Stepping aboard gave a real insight into the day-to-day reality of life on a WWII submarine, and it quickly became clear just how challenging those conditions must have been. With limited personal space and little access to fresh air, the crew endured circumstances that I would personally find very difficult to endure.
What truly elevated the visit was the expertise of the guides. Our tour was led by Pete, a former submariner whose wealth of knowledge and personal stories brought the vessel's history vividly to life. His enthusiasm, humour, and willingness to answer questions made the tour both engaging and informative.
I was fascinated to hear his first-hand experiences of living onboard a submarine, and this is what really elevated the tour. That authenticity is something you simply wouldn't get from information boards alone. The combination of historical insight, personal anecdotes, and expert guidance made this a thoroughly enjoyable, fascinating, and thought-provoking visit.
