点评:We visited to see the 'Elmer and Mr Benn: the magic of David McKee' exhibition which we had seen showcased on local TV. We had a lovely time here and it certainly had me reminiscing about my childhood days watching Mr Benn. We also found that David McKee's talents extended beyond his own well known creations including illustrating several of Michael Bond's later Paddington Bear books. The entrance fee was £6.30 and we felt it was good value for money. The exhibition space isn't huge and there is a museum area adjacent to the exhibition space with lots of interesting items to view and read about as well as some interactive items on display. The obligatory shop had an eclectic mix of things to purchase. There is also a nice cafe where we stopped for a drink and snack. We had our dogs with us and there was a dog friendly outdoor terrace where they are allowed. This was particularly useful as we had to take turns to go in to the exhibition while one of us dog sat. Both the cafe and shop are outside the pay barrier so you don't have to pay to go in to enjoy these. There is a good size car park directly behind the museum which is a 5 minute or so walk from the museum.
