点评:If you have any interest in British aviation, this is a fantastic museum. There are aircraft from the early days, through both world wars up to the present day, though when we visited yesterday, the hangar with the latest aircraft was closed. You need several hours to do justice to the site as there are four seperate hangers (albeit once closed), one of which (hangars 3-5, effectively all one building) is enormous. Some of the organisation seems to be a little bit random, but there is a lot of information and each aircraft has a summary in addition to specific exhibits of related equipment/unforms etc. In addition to British aircraft there are several overseas aircraft, including several WWII American, German and Japanese planes. We did the Bomber command tour with Stewart, one of the volunteers, which was excellent, well worh doing. Also a mention for Terry Smith, another volunteer who was very helpful.
