点评:We visited for a day out as we hadn't been to Osterley before. Looking on the website before going we saw the following: " Please note that due to a large scale conservation project, the Long Gallery and Entrance Hall will remain closed." - Fair enough, that's notice that a couple of rooms are closed.
This is not what you find when you get there. An entire wing is closed, meaning you can't access 6 rooms rather than just 2. There were other rooms closed as well. The closed rooms are (according to the volunteers) the best, and most complete Adam rooms in the building, and we probably would not have gone had we known.
It is disappointing that the National Trust are not open about the actual extent of the closure.
The rooms that were open are sparse - there is little furniture and you mostly walk on bare floorboards. Rooms may have one or two bits of furniture and some pictures on the wall.
The grounds are nice, but the gardens could do with some more signage, and there were no maps available to allow you to plan where to go.
