Airbus Factory Tour的点评
点评：We visited aeroscopia (excellent) and booked the AIRBUS A321 tour as the A350 tour was not available during our time in Toulouse. Reading the description I knew the 321 tour might be slightly less in depth in terms of distance and subject covered. The guide was nice and gave plenty of info in good English, but the A321 tour basically consists of a short bus ride to the 321 final assembly hangar. There was quite a lot of introduction talk in the foyer before we went in the lift to the first floor. There, you are in a sealed gallery above the 321 production line to overlook very little activity as so much of the manufacturing process is complete by this stage. That takes about 15 minutes to overlook the line then you go out on a balcony to see the outdoor testing area. It basically looks like a terminal with a few rows of completed aircraft. Nothing spectacular especially as the 321 is so ubiquitous.
If anyone has done the Boeing factory tour at Seattle this is not a patch on that where you are on platforms inside the factory seeing everything going on.
Back downstairs and onto the bus then you get a look inside the A400M which is similar to a Hercules inside for those that are familiar with them.
I really wish we had been able to do the 350 tour as that is a longer bus ride to the other side of the airfield and visit to the final delivery centre etc.
I didn’t NOT enjoy the tour but I didn’t feel it added anything to the aeroscopia museum and I wouldn’t be in a rush to do it again. PS photos are NOT allowed anywhere in the Airbus complex and you will need to take a passport for ID check. The cash desk at the aeroscopia museum is where to check in and get visitor pass. They suggest arriving 30 mins before tour start.
