Lovely afternoon out at Furzey Gardens

点评：A beautiful, peaceful place not far from Lyndhurst or Southampton.
The road up to Furzey Gardens does get rather narrow, so do watch out for oncoming vehicles when you leave the main road near Cadnam. The car park isn't massive, but we managed to find a space. We booked our tickets in advance via the attraction's website. This is recommended as it helps them assess how many visitors to expect.
We went on a quiet day with only a few people around. Now, (Apr-May) is a good time to visit as the rhododendrons are in bloom. It's not a big site like Exbury Gardens down the road, so the different places shown on the map are all within easy reach. The map is available as a pdf on the website or you download one using a QR code at the entrance.
After touring the Gardens, we had coffee and delicious cake at the café which is near the entrance. They had a good selection and we were pleased to find they had gluten free options. The staff we encountered were really friendly and pleasant.
