点评：The Roman Forum was far more fascinating than we expected and should not be treated as a quick add-on to the Colosseum.
We visited using the Full Experience Ticket with Entry to the Arena of the Colosseum, booked directly through the official Parco Archeologico del Colosseo website. The ticket included the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Imperial Fora, SUPER sites, exhibitions, and timed entry to the Colosseum Arena.
The Colosseum is the headline attraction, but walking through the Roman Forum gives you a deeper sense of ancient Rome’s political, religious, and civic life. It is vast, layered, and much more absorbing than simply looking at ruins from a distance.
A practical tip: we entered the Roman Forum/Palatine area via the Via dei Cerchi entrance near Circus Maximus, and there was no line. We had been concerned about not having 'skip-the-line' access, but this entrance made the experience easy.
The official MyColosseum app includes free audio content in Italian and English. It may be useful if visiting without a guide, though I personally found location-based audio less engaging than expected.
Allow plenty of time, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water, snacks, and sunscreen. You’ll walk kilometres.
