点评:Could easily spend the whole day here. I had heard about this beach and how wonderful it was, but I can honestly say that it must be seen to be believed. It is stunning. Sadly, due to the heavy rain showers we arrived here later than planned and it was mid-afternoon, so didn’t have that much time. There’s quite a steep walk down but it is worth it.
Parked in the National Trust Car Park which cost us £4 to park for 2 hours. Machines take cash (unusual nowadays), card or pay by app. It is free for National Trust Members. Be warned the car park is small, even though there is an overflow area. We arrived during a heavy downfall of rain so were lucky that several people were leaving. We did notice on the way in and out that there were lots of people at the bus stop so clearly many people take the bus.
The white house you see which overlooks the beach and sea is also available to rent from the National Trust but they do not allow dogs due to the livestock in the surrounding area.
The only toilet facilities are Portaloo’s at one end of the car park unless you go to one of the many cafes, etc. The Worms Head hotel looked busy as it is open to non-residents and has an outside decking area that allows dogs. Undoubtedly, worth a visit and we will certainly be back.
