Great guided garden tour

点评：We visited on the hottest day of the year on the basis that there was woodland which would be shady. Just after reception we met a lovely volunteer called David who offered to give us a tour of the gardens keeping to the shade. We had a delightful hour going around the various garden rooms which are based on seasons of the year. David is very knowledgeable but at the same time kept things sufficiently light for our amateur brains and also bearing in mind the considerable heat in the early to mid thirties. The gardens are beautiful and genuinely interesting. We didn’t see everything so will be back in the winter to visit the winter gardens which are nationally acclaimed and also the house. The property does snow drop and daffodil tours too so we will keep a look out on their website. Currently sitting in the air conditioned cafe with a cold drink. Thanks David for a great tour!
