Weirdly Bland and Highly Expensive

点评：I’m a huge lover of history and museums, culture, theatre and art. I’ve been to so many places over the years which I’ve enjoyed and I have an open mind. This particular NT location is a let down. The day we went was overrun with families with young children traipsing around and squealing which honestly ruined the whole experience of the nature available. Ineffective “gentle” parenting where kids ignore their parents while they chant their names into the air and watch the children do as they like anyway. I was expecting there to be some child-centric facilities worth this effort but it seemed that this was limited to overpriced cafes and a tiny playground for the littlest ones. I was mystified what would compel a family with young children to come to this park, the house and garden when so little was on offer to them in that regard and there were bored children whinging everywhere. We had expected a more focused and rich historic experience, but found the house information was minimal, despite opportunity to develop this as other locations have done. Considering the unique features of this house, I don’t think this price was acceptable for the experience. The shop is very small and without unique offerings either. We stayed for 2 and a half hours but were glad to leave, fed up of feeling surrounded by oblivious strangers.
